“Mommy, why do you have hummingbirds on your back?” my 4 year-old son asks me as I change my tee shirt.

“It’s a boy!” the technician said as she dragged the ultrasound wand over my 20-week belly. I immediately looked to my husband, who was sitting in the chair next to me, holding my hand. The look in his eyes was utter joy. He was going to have the son he had always wanted.
